CENTRAL TIEN SHANTerskey Ala Too rangeAll The Hot Springs trekking |
||
| It is worth to take some photos on this site with the flowers at the foreground and the waterfall at the background.... | ||
| After climb up the simple rock barrier, you suddenly see the amazing Alakel lake. | ||
| Have a rest on the lake shore - and then go left side to the Alakel pass. The ascent is a quite gentle and the trail is clearly seen. | ||
| The view from the Alakel pass col is fine. It is a very good place to take landscape photos for your album! | ||
| The Aksuy Wall (at the background) and surrounding summits leave unforgettable impressions... | ||
| Descent through alpine pastures and fir forest leads to the Arashan valley with the wide-known hot springs. | ||
| The valley is crowned with the amazing Palatka ("Tent") peak, 4931 m, which is the most important part of the Aksuy Wall - interesting object for climbing with the routes from 2 to 5 CC. | ||
| Visit the hot springs is quite natural finish for the trekking. There are a number of the springs at the site, from the warm (30 °C) to hot (52 °C). The springs are so-to-say "semicivilized" with bathes and the hut (even electricity from local hydropower facility is available!). | ||
| You can visit also the wild warm spring a bit down the main site on the river's bank - so-called "Swallow's Nest". | ||
| After rest at the springs, about 3-hrs jeep ride returns you to the Karakol, where don't forget to buy some local handicrafts, better in appropriate place (yurt)! | ||
