The 1st peak to climb is usually Komsomolets Peak ("Young Communist", 4140 m, 1B UIAA), accessible directly from Ala-Archa BC. Photo: on the col not far from the summit. Near the summit of Komsomolets Peak. The other option to climb from BC is Peak Koshevogo (4200 m). View from the summit to Pavlik Morozov Peak (4200 m, another option as well). But most of climbing routes in Ala-Archa starts from Ratzeka Hut (situated on right moraine "pocket" of Ak-Sai glacier). On the ascent to Uchitel (The Teacher) peak (4527 m, 1B-2A UIAA), seen on the left. >>
